Currently studying a Professional Doctorate in Education with Cardiff University Jeannette is planning to conduct research into the impact of all-through schooling and the absence of transition on vulnerable groups such as pupils with SEN and looked after children. Jeannette is currently a Coach for the education charity Achievement for All which focuses its intervention on the lowest achieving 20% of pupils.

With 10 years experience in secondary schools, Jeannette’s areas of specialism are inclusion, whole school behaviour, interventions and alternative provision.  She was part of a small team involved in a start up inner city Academy in 2009 which went on to be judged Outstanding by Ofsted in 2011. Graduating in 2004 with a BA Hons in Politics & International Studies at Warwick University, Jeannette went on to train as a History teacher at Oxford University then took a second specialism in PSHE and has led on whole school Citizenship and PSHE curriculum for many years.

Jeannette went on to study a Masters at the Institute of Education in Social Justice & Education, completing research into young people’s participation in pupil voice and democratic practices.  She enjoys working in schools to develop staff capacity using different models of coaching and in designing bespoke participatory training workshops.
